The current Government initiative of ‘Standardised Designs’ is being delivered through our Sunesis Keynes and Sunesis Dewey pattern book primary schools. The first primary free schools in the UK at ARK Conway and Eden Primary, both in London, were designed by Hunters South Architects, with Eden Primary winning plaudits as one of the best value schemes developed under the EFA framework. Other examples include Rutherford House in Balham which is a conversion of an unused magistrates court building.
Large Multi-Storey Primary Schools
A shortage of places at primary schools has led us to designing schools of increased capacity and on challenging sites, up to three storeys in height and 4FE in size. Examples include Wordsworth Primary in Southampton and Oasis Shirley Park and Harris Haling Park in London.
