The schemes selected represent a portfolio of over 100 completed projects that include a wide variety of Academies, LEA maintained and free schools. Current initiatives include:

Holyport College

This boarding free school, sponsored by Eton College, has featured prominently in the national press. Masters from Eton have been involved throughout the design process, providing the brief for both the learning and boarding space. The School is due to open in September 2014.

Batched Schemes

We are currently delivering a number of batched schemes, such as the Kent Academy package in Kent, which allow best value to be achieved through common design, specification and detailing. The Skinner’s Academy, Tunbridge Wells, demonstrates how better value can still deliver exciting design.

Free Schools

We are at the forefront of the Free School initiative with projects such as our Greenwich Free School, creating exciting new facilities on challenging sites and within the tight funding envelope. The Greenwich scheme includes the conversion of an Edwardian military hospital building into administration and sixth form facilities alongside a four storey new build teaching block.

Haberdasher Academy

Haberdashers’ educational vision is that the Academy contributes to the regeneration of the communities it is serving.

Harris Academy, Falconwood

The building concept was to produce a compact plan form over two storeys which comprises a front zone of school and community teaching and celebration spaces and a rear zone of more private teaching facilities.

Holyport College, Berkshire

The design concept developed through detailed consultation with the Client group, which included expertise from Eton College and other local authority teaching establishments, in addition to national expertise on educational and dormitory design.

St Johns, Epping

The design of the new school was principally driven by an educational brief developed by the design team, but it also needed to successfully respond to landscaping and environmental concerns, such as the school’s new prominence and whether the re-positioning of the school would satisfy local detractors.

Skinners Academy, Kent

During the client engagement meetings, each type of space was explored in order to understand the relationship required between pedagogy and space.

Northwood Secondary School

The visual appearance of the building relates to the 3 elements which express the performing arts specialism, the remaining learning areas and the sports complex.

Hoe Valley School, Woking

The design concept has developed through detailed consultation with the Client group. The project has been designed to ensure the School and Leisure Centre can work together whilst ensuring pupil safety is paramount.
